Tired of trying a serious of weight-loss fads, diets & “miracle cures”?  Well, you are not alone.  According to the CDC, obesity is not only prevalent in the USA, it’s on the rise.  In fact, they stipulate that 2 out of 3 US adults weigh more than what would be medically recommended. Source: CDC.

From 1999–2000 through 2017–2018, the prevalence of obesity increased from 30.5% to 42.4%, and the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%.

In our great state of Texas, we rank as the 10th state with the highest obesity rates in all of the USA.  According to the Self-Reported Obesity by State and Territory, BRFSS, 2019:

Approximately 34% of the Texas population is obese.

The biggest concerns about a growing obese county are the dangering risk conditions associated with it.  These include the leading causes of preventable, premature death:

  • Increase chances of high blood pressure
  • High LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, or high levels of triglycerides
  • Overweight and obesity are associated with at least 13  different types of cancer.
  • Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes
  • Other diseases include: gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea and breathing problems
  • It also increases the likelihood of mental illness such as clinical depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders

Coach Johnnye’s Weight Loss Testimony

Hello!  My name is Johnnye and I’m the new weight loss coach at Rejuvenation Weight Loss and Med Spa.

I weighed over 300 pounds until I lost more than half my body weight.

Struggling for decades, and making up for it with an even bigger personality, my quality of life was awful.  I was over medicated, yet plagued with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, acid reflux, and diabetes.  In constant fear of having a heart attack, I was a walking time bomb.  Then one day, I decided to change.

Determined, I limited my intake, with the help of meal replacements that were high in protein but low in carbs.  Next, I met with others who struggled, just like me.  Finding support in numbers, I began losing weight.

For the past 12 years, I’ve kept it off.  Thus, I no longer need any medications, and I feel great!

In keeping it off, it’s important that I help others, especially women who don’t believe it’s possible.  It’s achievable and never too late!  At the age of 68, my story was featured on ShapeFit and First for Women.  At 72, I’m still in excellent health, free of all medications, and part of the team here at Rejuvenation Weight Loss and Med Spa.
